Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

How do you put a picture in your sig?

Clueless here.
And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this Rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

Re: How do you put a picture in your sig?

  • I usually find a picture and save it to my computer. I then upload it on tinypic.com and use the code that starts with <a or something like that.

  • What works for me is to click on my handle in any post I've put up, then click on Settings on the far right, then click on "Avatar and Signature" and then scroll down to the field where you can enter code for your signature.

<!img src="!put-URL-of-picture-in-here-should-start-with-http://-and-end-in-a-.jpg-extension!">   (take out the exclamation points too)

To get the URL for a picture, just find the one you want (has to live on a public website somewhere, or on your own photo hosting profile), and insert it in the code above between the quotation marks.  If it's too huge, you can also add the following after the src="" portion and indicate a max width for your picture with width="250".
