I need opinions on this outfit for a beach wedding. PIP updated*

The wedding is this weekend at a private beach house. My only reservation is that the ceremony is on the sand so maybe I should do a nice flat sandal instead of the heels? I can always take the heels off for the ceremony as most people will probably remove their shoes as well. The dress is kind of a black and grey animal print with some silver blue in it. Opinions please? Thank you!

  • You look great, but I'll be honest in saying that it looks more like a "clubbing" outfit than a beach wedding outfit.

I'd probably keep looking if you have time. Do you have any other options you can post?

I agree with this. It's awfully short for a wedding, isn't it?

  • I agree with the PPs. I wouldn't do an animal print for a beach wedding (or probably any wedding, for that matter), and it is very short. The shoes also aren't good for the beach. I'd keep shopping.

  • It doesn't look that short without heels but now looking at it it does look pretty short. I have a few more options I'll see what I can come up with when I get home and update. Thanks ladies!

  • I agree with the others.  It's too short, animal print isn't ideal for a wedding, and you don't want to wear heels like that on the beach.

I've only been to one beach wedding, but no one took their shoes off at the ceremony, which was in the sand.  People wore flats.  I'd get a pair of cute flat sandals.

  • What about this Ann Taylor dress?

That dress is gorgeous!!  It's also perfect for a beach wedding.  What is the color?  It looks like a light sand or a pinkish color?  I just wouldn't get too close to ivory or white, but it looks like it's probably a color that is appropriate.

  • I say yes to the Ann Taylor dress!
