I don't get the hype over Mathai her voice is grating she does some weird thing with it.
I love Tony Vincent so much. He has that "it" factor to me.
Re: The Voice!!!! ~spoilers~
Agreed re: Mathai but then I also don't like that other female singer with the "unique" voice. It sounds as though she is whining her way through her songs. Can't recall her name but Alanis Morrissette told her she loved her voice.
How about the reaction of the female singer in The Line? She was pissed!
I like Mathai - I think they like her because she has a different sound. I agreed with the panel though - not either of their best performances.
Tony and Justin were one of my favorite battles. They are both talented but I really liked Justin better last night.
She was pissed. She looked like she wanted to deck the panel. I really thought that one could have gone either way.
I love Pip. I'm so predictable. He makes me feel like a dirty old lady though. I would do such wrong things to him.
I also loved Angie and can't believe she lost to Cheesa.
I was sad to see THE LiNE (apparently that's how they spell it) go, but Hailey was a real betch afterwards.
Mathai isn't great, but the girl she battled was actually pretty bad.
(I realize that not all of this commentary is related to last night's epi)
My Lunch Blog
I thought that it was SO hard to pick between Tony and Justin - I would have taken both of those over that other guy Cee-lo picked earlier in the episode.
I thought the Line was good, but the male vocalist in that duo was better than the girl. And I LOVED the guy they were up against so I'm not surprised they went home.
You forgot stroking his cat.
I felt the same way about her. Enough with the Popeye impression!!!!
I've disagreed with quite a few of CeeLo's choices, but especially, especially last night. The first guy he picked is missing the 5 other members of his boy band. Justin outperformed Tony Vincent, who sounds just like every other Freddie Mercury wannabe (don't get me wrong, he's talented, but he brings nothing new, IMO).
Blake let himself be swayed by his fellow panelists. I totally thought the reggae girl was going to kill it, but in the actual battle the young kid outperformed her.
I don't blame the chick from the Line for being pissed. The Voice should be a singing contest, and Moses is entertaining, but his voice is one of the weakest. I also thought the pairing kind of showed that Christina didn't really respect who they are as a band--she paired them with her gimmicky choice, and then picked a song that favored him. I'd imagine she's pretty unhappy she decided to pick Team Christina when they turned 3 or 4 chairs (I can't remember how many for sure).
