Help me pick some bedding and black out curtains!

My FI works third shift and can only sleep about an hour a day from the time it gets dark until he has to get up... So I want to get him some black out curtains. I also want to take this opportunity to change our bedding. His mother bought this bedding and it is not our style... Our furniture is dark, almost espresso with a mahogany tint, and our walls are beige... Can someone give me some ideas for some bedding you would put in a room like this? And tying some black out curtains in? Id like to add some color without making it girls, and the comforter has to be one we can actually sleep with and not just one for looks! Thanks!

  • Eclipse curtains are blackout and inexpensive.  They come in a variety of colors.
I give up trying to add my kids' photos. Just know that they are adorable.

I was going to recommend these as well.  We got them at Target for our son's room, and they work pretty well.  Ours are navy with a very fine striped texture.  They look great, and I think they were $10 - $15 per panel.
