Easter Plans

Anyone doing anything or going anywhere for Easter Sunday?  My parents and ILs live too far away so that's a holiday we don't see either of them.  However last night S told me his uncle called and invited us to his family's Easter dinner (his one sister who is hosting lives maybe an hour from us).  I'm so stinkin' excited!  His uncle's side of the family is Ukranian and the few meals I've had with them were fantastic!  All the ladies love to cook and make some of the best authentic Ukranian dishes I've ever had.

Re: Easter Plans

  • I've been toying around with the idea of doing an adult scavenger hunt.

We aren't religious nor do we really celebrate but scavenger hunts are always fun!

  • We are thinking about going to Austin for the long weekend since we get Good Friday off, and doing a dog walk with another BNOTBer!

My family isn't religious so I doubt they will be doing anything so I probably won't see them that weekend.

  • I don't know what we are doing. I have no family in state so there's nothing to do with family. Not sure if hubby is going to go up and see his daughters or bring them down if he's not working. I'm not sure if his store is open up on Easter or not.

  • No plans yet, but we usually go to MH's aunt's house (30mins away) for too much food and then impromptu naps on the couch.

  • Going to Austin, maybe doing lunch with my family on Saturday but have no plans for Sunday.
  • DH's Chicago family is coming in town so we'll have dinner with them on Friday and Saturday. Then we're going to my aunt's on Sunday.

    We're making ice-cream-pies. Smile

  • Since it is my sister's birthday on the the Wednesday after, I think Sunday we will do the whole family thing. And if the weather is nice on Saturday, we may do a BBQ. We are not terribly religious, though I do have Good Friday off as well. Smile

  • My brother's wife wants to do a BBQ at my parents. I can't stand her family and it would be a shitton of screaming kids so no thanks. I think I work Easter.

  • We will go to church and then out for brunch.  I was hoping my mom would want to cook but its not looking that way.

Since xSIL gets N for Easter, MIL will have us over the day before.  A few of BIL's friends with kids will also come so that N can do an Easter egg hunt with some other kids.

  • The only thing I'm doing is meeting up with PPR for coffee!! No Easter plans though. MH is out of town that weekend and I have no family around. I'm actually a little sad about the whole thing. Normally MH hides eggs for me to find and makes me an Easter basket. Yes, I'm five.

  • The hubs and I are going away for the weekend, just us, I'm so freaking excited!

When we get back on Sunday we'll have a late lunch/early dinner w/ my sister and her fam, and my parents.
