Rust-Oleum Countertop Product?
Has anyone used this as a temporary fix for a laminate countertop? We are potentially buying a home and not looking to do the kitchen just yet, but I'm not sure how long I can live with the laminate countertops. I'd love to hear some thoughts if anyone has used this product. TIA!
Re: Rust-Oleum Countertop Product?
I used Giani on my laminate countertops, which is a competitor to Rustoleum. I am not artistic at all so I was kind of nervous about making it look good, but I was really happy with the result. It was super easy to do. Basically you clean the countertop really well, then roll on some black primer, then sponge on 4 different colors of paint to blend into a pattern, then roll on a clear topcoat.
We did this in our first home, but we had a company come out and do it. It looked nice - like new laminate. It didn't chip or anything in the time we lived there, but of course you can't cut on it and need to be careful with pans etc.
I would much, much rather have new countertops, but if that isn't an option, it is a decent temporary fix.
