kind of cooking related - cast iron grates ??

My gas range has cast iron grates and burner covers.  Anyone have them? How do you clean them?

Re: kind of cooking related - cast iron grates ??

  • I just clean them with water or a mix of vinegar and water (which I use to clean pretty much everything).
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I just use hot soapy water and elbow grease. Sometimes, I'll spray a little simple green on them if they are super sticky. I'm interested if anyone else has a great solution because I've found that anything else dulls the black on them. My cook top itself is stainless steal so both are a p.i.t.a to clean
