I'm glad to know the electronic device interference will soon not be an issue. That's the most annoying thing for me is having to shut off and then wait for clearance to turn back on my games music.
The reason I still think it is a good idea is in case we have to evacuate. If for some reason the pilots abort a landing, and the cabin fills with smoke or something, it's my job to get everyone off. It will be easier to do that quickly and safely if people don't have headphones in.
