Is this decorating or renovating?? :)

One of my New Year's Resolutions was NO HOME RENOS during 2012. In 2011, we gutted a bathroom, our kitchen, and our living room.  This year seemed like a good time to take a break.

But I have been having ALL of these renovation related dreams...and our study REALLY needs to be prettied up...today I got an estimate for built ins, we also plan to get a new couch, rug, tv - make it a "man room" - so, are these things decorating or renovating? I haven't kept ANY of my other resolutions so I am really trying to stick to this one....

My resolution was to loose 15 lbs. but here I am eating a big ol plate of pasta! This sounds to me like Decor. more so than a reno. It's not like your changing the space much.

Hmm.. I think that counts as renovating.. but it sounds fun so I give you my blessing!

Haha if it didn't involve the built ins, it would just be decorating I think. However, it sounds like your renos last year were HUGE ones. And I don't think putting in built ins would classify as that. So.. if that makes you feel better just tell yourself that!

I HAVE to do something or I am going to go crazy. I might be slightly obsessed. No walls will be knocked out.  No walls will be added. Concrete will not be poured or jackhammered.  Just the addition of a few crappy shelves...

built ins are like bookcases that are attached the wall, so totally just decorating I wouldn't consider Centsational Girls Billy bookcases a renovation

The projects never really end, but that's what I like about homeownership... because I CAN. I love that this house is MINE and I can do whatever I want to and no one can stop me (no neighborhood association either). We've come so far, but still have so much room for improvement, upgrading, and updating.
