I have had the oddest day.

If we are FB friends, you likely already know this.

So last night I went to Minute Clinic for what I assumed was pinkeye. Diagnosed as pinkeye and a corneal abrasion. Go on goopy ointment antibiotic.

Go to work today. Randomly start losing all vision (as in, completely dark) in same eye. Panic, go to doctor. Doctor 1 does battery of vision tests. Can't be sure. Brings in Doctor 2. Doctor 2 does more tests, dilates puplis, pokes around some more. Calls Doctor 3 at a specialty clinic. Sends me on my way. Doctor 3 does more tests, including an ultrasound of my eyes. I didn't even know there was such a thing. Finally, after four hours of being the exciting random vision loss mystery case, it is determined I have scleritis. The back of my eye is inflamed, causing the redness, pain, and vision loss. So now I start some steroids to make that go away. Glad I didn't blow it off and keep treating it as pinkeye! Apparently I could have had major permanent damage to what's left of my already crappy vision.

As a souvenir, I got a pair of the incredibly stylish shades to keep the light from blinding my giant pupils. :-) Hey, at least it was better than sitting at work!

Oh, FFS.
