    Both. I have tons of short term goals and long term goals. Then again that changes from day to day.

    Setting a new marathon PR is my 2012 goal. Just hope not to gain during training since I'll have the runger in full effect.

    I'm running the Toledo Marathon on April 22 and realllly hoping to break 4 hours finally. (PR is 4:05) I'm not sure I've trained hard enough, but I'll give it my best. It's probably my last full for a long while (or maybe ever), so I hope it's a good one.

     

    After that, I'd like to focus more on weight loss and muscle building. I've been yo-yoing the same 10-15 lbs for a while now and would like to finally kick in. (although we're hoping to start TTC later this year, so it might all be in vain anyway!)

  • My first half of the year is May 6th and hoping to have the guts to sign up for my 1st marathon EVER in October.

    I am also doing a 1 year mile race in May, which is nostalgic for me as I ran it 39 weeks pregnant last year!

    I'm running the Toledo HM on 4/22, and hope to #1-PR (my current HM pr is 1:52:xx) and #2-run sub 1:50.  I'm not 100% convinced either is going to happen, and #2 kind of makes me want to puke, but damnit I'm gonna try.

    Speaking of puking...Megan, are you going to speedwork tonight?  The scheduled workout makes me nauseous if I think about it too much, but I should be there if the traffic gods cooperate.

  • No training right now. It's too hot. I'll focus on keeping a good base & shorter speed workouts so that when fall hits, I'll be ready to go. Fall goals are a sub 1:50 half & a really good marathon training cycle that should hopefully get me to a low 3:50's marathon @ Surf City next February.

  • Fitness goals: I have a 5K on April 20th that I would love to PR on. Goal is a sub-30 finish. Also, Disney Wine & Dine HM on Nov. 10th. Goal is to finish in less than 2:30 (my last HM was 2:32). I'd also like to maintain my lung capacity that I got while training for my last HM. That was probaby the biggest hurdle for me in my running career.

    Weight goals: Maintain.

  • My first 1/2 marathon May 19th. No goal other than to get my ass through it without getting injured. This is my 3rd attempt. So far so good.

  • @Lori - No, I'm not. I've been having a lot of hip pain since mid-last week so I finally went to see my sports doc yesterday and he gave me a cortisone shot. So I have to take today off completely and then can only do 4 easy tomorrow. All in the name of making it through 22 on Saturday! Sick me, I actually like the Yassos...It's a bit warm though! Good luck!
  • I am training for a 10k that's in a few weeks, then half marathon.

    I am at the very end of my weight loss (about 17lbs) and am working on strength training to lose some more body fat.

  • Ultimately, I just want to be healthy- both active and at a healthy weight. I have about 30 more lbs to lose to reach my goal weight.

    But I'm also training for my first 5k in May.

  • Right now I am trying to recover from an upper respiratory infection. My first 5k is in two weeks and I'm worried about it. I've been doing Body Rock TV for the past month and love it. Trying to bulk up a bit and lose the tummy fat.
  • My main goal is to lose 20 pounds.  As a matter of fact, I just decided that goal weight IS my goal for this year.  I have some races in mind (listed in siggy) but I am not sure if I will do those or not.  I am signed up for two 10k's though, and super excited for the BB.

  • Training for OWS season - I've got two travel races planned plus several in my area.  I'm thinking about adding the swim leg of an Olympic Tri, as well.

    Goal - I'm trying to get back into my wedding dress.  Not because I need to, but because I would feel really good about it.  :)

  • I'm slowly building up for a couple of half marathons in the fall, so I have a few short races that I'm training for in the mean time. I also am training for my first tri on June 9, but I've got to get my @ss in gear for the cycling portion.

    I would realistically like to lose 9 lbs. If I lost a bit more, I wouldn't complain ;)

  • I am increasing my mileage again after an injury.  Signing up for some 5Ks in April and June.  I really want to start weights and improve my core area.  Keep cycling once a week with DH.

    I need to lose 6lbs to hit WW goal.  I am hoping to hit goal by August which would mean a 2 year journey. 

  • originally, my goal was to run a half with a pace of <9:00... i just did that this weekend (which was truly unexpected).  so my next goal is to run a 1:55:xx HM.  and if i do that at my next half, ill readjust my goal (i have four HMs this spring).

    im running my second marathon in the fall. for now, my goal is to go sub 4:10, but we'll see how training goes, i might adjust that number down a little (hopefully - eek!). 

    i dont run a lot of 5ks, but id like to try to break 24 minutes this year (my current PR is 39 seconds away....).

  • Currently my goal is just to keep running this far in my pregnancy!

    Once baby is here I want to sensibly lose the baby weight and get back into more serious running.  My goal will likely be a 5km in June.

  • I'm training for the Seattle Rock n Roll half in June. It's my 2nd half marathon, and I'd really love to run a sub 2:30.

    Weight loss - I'm down 12 pounds from the beginning of the year. I'd love to drop another 10 to get down to my goal, but I'm pretty happy with my progress so far.

  • I'd like to feel comfortable in a bikini by the end of summer. I have 20 pounds of the 42 I gained in pregnancy left to lose, and I am starting up with my trainer again next week (6 weeks post c-section). 

    As far as performance goals, I am planning to do a Tough Mudder in October. I also want to learn to do pull-ups.

  • I have both a weight loss goal (25 more lbs, then I will re-evaluate) and a half marathon in June that I am training for. It will be my first half marathon. Last year I did two 5k's and so far this year I have done a 7k. In addition to the half in June, I also have a 5k potentially in May, one in July, another half in September, and a 5k in November. I just want to finish the half marathons, and I want to continue to improve my 5k times.

  • I have a 12k in June that I'm not sure I'm going to make (I'm running 3 x 6k a week + intervals). With my current pace I will be out there for the time it takes a lot of you to run a half marathon and I've kinda lost motivation.

    I am also trying to lose the final 11 pounds (44 down already)
