I'm blown away by the before and after pictures. Then I read the article and am even more blown away that these recipients regain sensation and this particular man can smell again. Wow!

The whole idea of a face transplant just blows my mind. I can't even begin to fathom all the tiny little things you take for granted in having a face that have to be considered when doing a surgery like this.
Plus one for medical science.
