Decorators: help me shop for bedding
After using Mike's childhood dressers for the whole of our relationship, we are having this bedroom furniture delivered tomorrow. We painted the room a light blue that has slight hints of gray/lilac. Currently we have this fine IKEA rug in our room and dark brown curtains, but I'm not tied to either.

We tend to like more of a clean look, but in the bedroom I like stripes/flowers/pattern of some kind as long as it's not too traditional or stuffy looking.
We have a duvet, so I prefer a duvet cover that I can wash on the regular since kids are gross and get stuff all over my bed.

Ready to rumble.
Re: Decorators: help me shop for bedding
I'm totally partial to West Elm bedding.
For you I like this one and this one.

I really like the first one SB posted.
How about this?
For less then ten cents a day, you can feed a hungry child.
Ooh, I like those SB.
Since you've already got the chickens, why not go full hipster with this?
UO's bedding section is full of awesome patterns that have been taken way too far when they put them all over an entire bed.

You joke, but I swear to god my MIL bought us some flannel sheets a few years ago that look JUST like that. Well, the fitted sheet does. The flat sheet and pillow cases have a menagerie of brightly colored frogs on them.
Yeah. Pretty much that. I saw that SB had posted, and before I even opened the links, I knew I didn't have to search.
I really like West Elm bedding.
i love dwell bedding, but it's pricey.
i think all of these would be very cool with that bedroom set:

I love Dwell too. The peacock set is my dream, but my husband has decided he hates duvet covers (WTF?) so it's a no go regardless of the price.
You know I love stripes, but I would stay away from stripes, especially ones running across the bed. Between that and the headboard, you'll have a lot of horizontal lines. I think some curves in the bedding might be nice to break up the bold lines of your furniture.

that's a good point. i wanted the chinoiserie one, but my husband doesn't like birds on furniture (wtf? that's a random hatred, honey), so when i got my bonus this year and i insisted that we spruce up the room we went with a colorful rug, medium gray walls, white linen curtains, and this one (with some throw pillows): http://www.dwellstudio.com/bedding/modern-duvet-covers/ellipse-matelasse-pearl-duvet-set.html.
it's very peaceful.
anyway, now i suggest this one, because i can't have it and love it: http://www.dwellstudio.com/bedding/modern-duvet-covers/chinoiserie-duvet-set.html
Okay, now some links from an actual computer. I love these:

http://www.blisslivinghome.com/corina-p-839.html - this is my favorite duvet in the history of ever but it won't work in my home and probably won't work in yours. But who cares. EDITED to correct the link
