? about leaving a gap when cleaning up nail polish around the cuticle
I know a lot of people on here use a little brush to clean up nail polish mistakes and make a clean line by your cuticle (I found this video tutorial last night to show what i'm talking about).
Anyway, I wondered, why does she leave such a large gap? Is that normal? Because while the edge is clean, it makes it look like her nail is grown out... I see this everywhere online in nail polish pics. Like here...
When I used to get acrylics and when i've had mani's done, they never left a gap like that.
Can someone explain?

Some people just like a big gap -
It really depends how you paint your nails, if you push the polish towards the edges or just start where you want the edge to be.

(this is what I'm talking about when I say push the polish towards the edge)
