Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Vacation cooking
BF and I are headed to the Bahamas for a week, and we're staying in a condo with a kitchen. I'd like to eat most of our meals in, to save $$, so I'm planning on making full use of said kitchen! I'm torn between wanting to go with a menu plan in mind and wanting to make use of whatever local, seasonal stuff I find in the stores there! What would you recommend? How do you approach vacation cooking? We're both pretty adventurous eaters, so that's not an issue.

I agree, see what's available, and go with the flow. Ask some locals - front desk attendants are usually always very helpful. I found that people in the Caribbean nations love it when you ask questions and are interested in their food and culture. Have fun!
