AW--some of my writing and shoes!

I have a piece featured on the Journal of Ordinary Thought blog today. You can check it out here: http://www.jot.org/blog/2012/03/29/twinkle-toes/

  • Such a great entry, Liz!  How long does it usually take you to write up something like this?  Creative writing is not my forte at all, so I know if I ever attempted to write something like this it would take me forever and a day.

You know, it varies a lot. This particular piece took maybe an hour for the first draft and then a few hours revising and tweaking. That's relatively quick. Sometimes, I feel like I could go on revising stuff forever.

  • I love the piece, it was so cute!

I had jelly shoes in many colors as a child, but no way would I wear them now.  I'd get the side eye and a bit of pity, I think.  lol

In regards to the questions you posted at the end, I think if I were a shoe that I would be fuzzy slippers.    Warm and cozy, best enjoyed at home where the heart is.
