Hello ladies
I am currently getting back into shape and trying to drop 50 pounds. I am feeling discouraged because it is slow going. I have hypothyroidism and despite regular exercise and a good diet I'm still not getting anywhere fast. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. TIA
Re: New to the board
Weight loss is slow going - hang in there and don't get discouraged!
My best advice would be to track calories with myfitnesspall or something similar, and be sure to measure your food (at least in the beginning). Do cardio & weight training, not just cardio. I always feel like if your goal is better health, you can't fail if you're eating right & are active. The weight will follow.
I am not educated on hypothyroidism, so you can take my words with a grain of salt. Regardless, congrats to you for making the decision. Health is a lifelong journey.
