I'm home..

I was in San Diego this past week for the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting where I presented a paper, won an award for the best abstract in the Community Health Planning and Policy Section, and met my hero Former Surgeon General Dr. Joceyln Elders (complete with a pic of course!).

What did Shane and Macabean do while I was gone you ask? 50+ hours of Fallout 3 on the xbox360...  impressive or scary... you decide :)

Re: I'm home..

  • Congratulations on your award and welcome home!!
  • Congrats!  And I'll go with 'impressive' on the award as well as the hours playing xbox.
  • Yeah for the award!

Hm, my vote is scary - was the apt. a pit when you got home? That's the deciding factor. If it managed to keep it presentable, then the hours are impressive, but if he let it all go to pot, then it's scary.

Move along, nothing to see here.....
  • Ahh.. thanks guys!

Shane managed to keep the apartment mostly clean... he had built himself a "nest" if you will :) He had something to drink, another chair to prop his feat on, the cat, a blanet, etc... it was cute.

  • Congrats!  That's awesome news and experience!

Where were you in SD?  Did you have a chance to see the city at all?  I'm headed out there in 11 days for a little post-election vacation!
