Filipino Food
There is a Filipino restaurant near DD's ballet class. I was thinking of checking it out. I've never had Filipino food. Any recommendations? I have a pretty diverse and open palate.

I love Filipino food! The closest thing to it would probably be chinese food...
Try some pansit(noodles) ...lumpia(similar to egg rolls)...and any barbeque if they have.
Enjoy!
- Chicken adobo (a chicken dish braised in soy sauce, vinegar, onions, garlic)
- Sinigang (a tamarind based soup with choice of meat - pork, beef, beef or shrimp)
- Pancit Bihon or Canton or Palabok (pancit is a rice noodle dish... and the name defines the size/thickness of the noodle and/or the sauce involved. Think of it as the Filipino version of a Thai Pad Thai only not spicy, just flavorful with soy sauce as the base)
- Kare Kare (a braised dish of ox tails in a rich peanut butter based stew. Sounds weird but really is good... kinda like an African peanut stew)
- Lumpia Shanghai (Filipino eggrolls that are rolled thin and chopped into bite sized pieces, often filled with seasoned ground beef or pork)
