ideas for sides to go with ham-non dairy?
I'm cooking easter dinner this year and we're having ham. Normally for sides I would have baked mac n cheese, pineapple stuffing and one or two vegetables (probably peas and/or corn). I'm breastfeeding and have had to cut all dairy out of my diet due to DD's sensitive tummy (I miss my cheese!

) so i'm looking for ideas for some good non dairy side dishes that will go well with ham. any thoughts? TIA!

I feel for you! I had to give up dairy for 3 months when I was BF-ing. Soon enough you'll be back eating your cheese
I found that while cow's milk cheeses affected DS, he was able to digest goat milk cheese just fine - maybe something to try?
These are some non-dairy sides we've done at Easter ...
grilled asparagus with fresh lemon squeezed on top
Tabbouleh Salad with Lemon, Mint & Chickpeas
Lemony Couscous with Peas, Mint & Pea Shoots
Levi 4.21.10
Glazed carrots, baked sweet potato wedges, shaved asparagus, arugula and pea salad, roasted artichokes (roasted any veggie actually!), fruit salad...
We typically do a green veg (green beans, collards or asparagus) and sweet potatoes. If the weather is reasonable, we'll wrap the potatoes in foil and put them on the grill, but if not, bake them in the oven.

Honey Roasted Fennel & Baby Carrots
Roasted Asparagus with Garlic
Sauteed Brussels Sprouts with Mushrooms
