Also, is my breast pump on the fritz

I only need this damn thing to last for about 4 more months, but i've started noticing lately that at about the 8 minute mark, the womp womp suddenly turns into a kind of whomp chick whomp chick.  Like it's clicking on something.  The suction seems to be the same, but I'm afraid it's just going to up and quit on me all of a sudden.

if it craps out, i would get a used one.

I might rent one from a hospital or something.  I am not paying $300 for something I only need for 4 more months.

Fwck it, maybe i'll just give him formula, I mean milkshakes. Devil

  • Have you checked the valves?  One of mine got a small tear in it, and for some reason part way through pumping it would make the sound change (all better upon replacement).  Mine also made funny noises toward the end if it wasn't perfectly level, and I had to put a piece of paper under one of the rubber feet to keep it that way (otherwise it rocked slightly).  Hope it holds out for you.

Yeah I was going to suggest rental.

I have a hammidown pump that is on its third child, cost me exactly zero dollars (all new parts free, actually two sets from the two different hospitals) and my child has so far lived to someday tell the tale. Insert shamey face here. Of course I also have a hammidown drop side crib and a few car seats, so clearly I like to walk on the wild side.

HA!  We also have a drop side crib and just got a hammidown car seat!  We also used a bumper in the death trap of a crib with PTS, but actually did take it out with K because he rolls around a lot in his sleep and is just the kind of kid who WOULD get his melon of a head stuck under it.
