What color should I paint our front door? PIP

image  this is our new door (trim needs to go up, forgive the messy shot)

The home is painted a light yellow with white trim.  The door in this picture was painted Caribbean Sea.  I liked it but wanted to go with something lighter.

image   Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  TIA.

sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.

Re: What color should I paint our front door? PIP

  • I love your inspiration....I wouldn't go any lighter though.
  • that is our house.  my h wanted to go with a pale blue. such as Behr's liquid blue, i liked brilliant sea.

lol   I realized that after I posted and ran.

I prefer your color with the color of your house.

  • I think the color of our front door would look great with yellow (Sherwin Williams' HGTV Home Hazel)

  • The blue in the photo is nice, but if that is too bright for you, consider a lighter blue or a blue/gray color.

Another colorwould be a shade of green.

I like the idea of green with a yellow house.

  • Are you into feng shui?

Which direction does the door face?

  • I don't know too much about feng shui but the door faces north.
sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.
  • FWIW, feng shui says the north is to quiet and isolated for an entrance so "to boost the positive chi energy, red paintwork, shiny metal fittings, lights, and metal windchimes. " I don't think red is what you had in mind. I know especially fire engine red, but there are tons of shades of red. Also there is red in the flag as well as spring, summer, and fall flowers.
