Pet Hair Eraser? Corded Hand Vacuum

It's on sale at Kohl's and I have a 30% off coupon. I have beagle/rottie mix and I'm just looking for something for the carpet on my stairs and for the couches.

Any reviews or recommendations for some other inexpensive hand vac that is good for the pet hair?

Thanks!

  • I hope someone else responds to this because I need a vacuum for the stairs too...
  • We have the lift off pet hair eraser and I think it does a great job.  It is a full size vacuum but you can lift off part of it to make stairs easier.  It has several attachments on it for furniture as well.

I bet it would do a great job.  We've had our Bissell for 3 years and no problems.  We have 5 cats.

  • I have this handheld and honestly wouldn't recommend it. I bought it for my car, couch, and the stairs...and it doesn't do a very good job of picking up the hair. It comes with 2 attachments - the pinkish one in the pic above with the nubbies on it to grab hair, and a standard one that doesn't grab hair, just sucks it up. The pink attachment makes it so you have to rub the carpet or upholstery with it to grab the hair, and then doesn't suck it into the vacuum. It's heavy, also. I usually end up not even using this handheld at all, and instead use my regular vacuum with a brush attachment. Unfortunately I don't have any recommendations for other handhelds...but am hoping someone else can chime in here! HTH
