Helping Plan a Bachelorette Party

As of now for my friends Bachelorette Party in July were thinking a spa day. I was trying to think of a cute favor to give since the guests will pay for their own services. This is what I came up with:

Essie Nail Polish in Bachelorette Bash

Travel Size Hand Lotion

Cute Nail File

I would like like to find really cute bags to put them in. I dont know if I should add anything else to the bag. What do you think?

I'm waiting to hear back from the Spa to see what kind of package they can offer. The other idea was a cooking class. Any creative ideas for that? Or any other options for a party? The Bride doesn't drink & doesn't care for the party scene.

Re: Helping Plan a Bachelorette Party

  • You could add some kind of gourmet chocolate truffles or food item or cookie. do you plan to do a lunch or brunch before? I always love those types of girl days lunch & pedis etc.

  • I've always wondered about the logistics of this sort of thing.  Do you have the services in your own room or all together?  Because if it's just all separate I don't see how that's any fun, but at the same time I don't know how fun it would be to get in a robe with a group of strangers.  Anyway, I think the favor sounds nice for a spa day.  Maybe some sort of scrub?

Is the bride into cooking?  Honestly that sounds like a better group option, unless the bride hates cooking.

  • Just my two cents...I'm also not sure how the spa day would work.  Many spa services are performed in private rooms, so you really won't be hanging out together.  If it's just manis/pedis, that only takes an hour or so, and is probably a better activity just for the bride/bridesmaids just in time for the wedding.  However, if a spa day is what everyone wants, then the gifts you mentioned are more than adaquate.  I've never received a gift at a bachelorette party, so that would be a pleasant surprise.

Personally, I'd love a group cooking class where everyone can interact with one another.  A funky kitchen towel and hand soap would be a nice memento for everyone.

  • I have done cooking classes and they are fun, but spa days are better.

But the best bachelorette party I've been to was a slumber party. It was so much fun!

I wouldn't probably bother with goodie bags. Just spend the extra on food or the event:)

  • The exact plans for the day are still in the works. The Brides sister who is the MOH came up with these two options. The MOH lives in Jersey & is only able to come one time prior to the actual wedding. So during that time she would like to be able to do the Bachelorette Party & Bridal Shower. I decided to look in the spa idea because I have a family friend who owns one. If we do go this route the spa would be open just to us & there will be mimosas, wine & a few snacks to go with them. We would probably do dinner afterwards. The bachelorette party I hosted a couple years ago just consisted of the BP so we made shirts to wear & some other accessories to wear for the night as a favor (we gave as they arrived).

As far as the cooking class I have no idea.
