My kids have already been to Puerto Rico twice (they are such good travelers!) and they say no, you cannot be a state, so I will listen to them.  They don't like your music.

Absolutely not. It's a politically unwise move for both Puerto Rico and the US at this time. Start mixing caned ham into your rice and we'll revisit. That's how Hawaii got in. But courting the spam vote.
