I don't get

How some of you can remember specific dates for things that happened? Maybe this is flameful, but I can only usually guess in days/weeks/months/years that's about it.

I could see if it was a major life event. Either way, kudos!

My name is Stellar, and I can't remember anything worth shiit.

Re: I don't get

  • I don't remember dates or length of time for most things either.

I have found that 'the other day' can really be anywhere from yesterday to 15 years ago.

Lol, I do the same thing. I didn't really notice it until one day I said something like "oh yeah, the other day when this happened, blah blah." and my husband goes "Wasn't that like a month ago?" Yeah...

  • I can't remembe specific dates and times either, but if I meet someone and talk to them for a while, I can usually remember their names and details about them pretty well.

I've noticed that I do that too, lol

  • I can't either as you can see from my answers
  • I'm fairly good with birthdays.

but I suck at remembering dates for school (historical dates).

and I don't remember what I wore yesterday.

  • I always remember numbers. I memorized like the first 30 numbers of "pi" at one point. Dates/phone numbers/etc are easy, even for insignificant things (a text message that I still remember making me smile... Jan. 26, 2009.)

However, I often forget what I had for dinner last night, or what I wore the day before. :P

  • lol! I only remembered exact dates for some things on that poll because they happened the weekend my BFF got married, which I guess is a life event for me.
  • I don't get people who are clearly unhappy in their job, relationship, *insert major life choice* and choose to do nothing to improve or change it, yet feel the need to constantly complain about it.

    We're soul mates, seriously.

I memorize license plates when I'm bored. I can remember the first phone number I had (cell). I remember my old home phone number from 10 years ago. I have my moms, dads, husbands, brothers, S/BILs, ILs, Hs work, my work, my old work and some other numbers memorized so if I lose my phone, I'm good.

    I'm just lame.

  • I can only remember dates if I've seen it in writing.

  • I remember really random stuff, and then forget a lot of other stuff.  For example, I can tell you my student number from grade school, but I don't know my sister's cell phone number without looking it up.  I can tell you the name of the substitute teacher I had in the 8th grade, but I can't remember the name of the IT person that came to fix my computer last week.  My memory seems to have no rhyme or reason to it...
