picking up race bibs

I know this completely depends on the race and everyone is different but do most let you pick up other peoples for them? my friend has to work the day before and since I'm already going to be out there I thought I could get hers too but since this is only my 2nd time I don't know if this a normal request. I've already emailed the race and  waiting to hear back. TIA

I've done it several times and just bring their printed confirmation with a note on it that says Just_Lisa is authorized to pick up my bib.  Usually they don't even look at it but it's good to have just in case.

I've never had a problem, in fact DH is picking up my number for Sunday's race as I nest.

I've never had an issue, but it's a good idea to take a printout of their confirmation along with written consent just in case.

I've never had an issue. I've picked up both DH and a friends bib and they didn't give me a hard time.

It really just depends on the race.  I think with most of the smaller ones you can, some of the larger ones you can't.
