Blackout Curtains?

I'm moving my toddler into our guest room and need to get some blackout curtains. We have 3 windows in the room. Two are together and one is single. The carpet is in decent shape and is blue.

Where have you seen blackout curtains? My nursery ones are from PBK.

How much longer than the windows do you usually buy curtains for a child's room?

Target and Kohl's both have quite a few to choose from.  We just bought some for our bedroom.

Do you use them over mini blinds? Stupid question maybe, but they are already in there.

I bought ours at Walmart. They were only $10 a panel and work great. They only offer a couple color choices, but since I view them as temporary I don't mind putting up with limitations. We have them over an open window, but you can put them over mini blinds.

We got the Eclipse ones from Target.  They were super-cheap and work well.  They are navy blue with a slight stripe texture, but there are lots of color options.

Got ours from JCPenney. Yes, you can use them over mini blinds. Personally I prefer the blackout blinds from Penneys (with an outside mount so they block all the light). Then you can use whatever curtains you want.

We use ours over our existing mini blinds.  It's worked fine.

You can also buy the blackout panels from Target and sew them on your existing curtains. That's what we did when we couldn't find any blackout curtains we liked for her room.
