Thanks to everyone for the nice compliments.

I said it in the other thread, but wanted to say it here too so that none of you thought it was anything you said that made me take the picture down.  I told DH what happened yesterday with the AEs and everything and he requested that I take his picture down.

That makes sense and I don't really blame him. if I knew someone on a message board was...."interested", I guess (cant think of a better word)...enough in my wife and me to create an AE about me, I'm not sure I'd want my picture up either.

Yeah.  I'm thinking no more kid pictures either.

I'm with you here. I took the kid pix down after some creepy crap on other boards.

He had a beard for a while (I actually like him better with facial hair).

Right now he is beardless, but his hair is a lot longer.  He used to have it long before I met him and I asked him to grow it so I could see what it looks like that way.

I like my husband's beard a lot too. Everyone thinks I'm weird.

That was a super cute pic, by the way!

I'll join the beard train. My husband grew one for 6 months last year. He looked like a mountain man, but he just wanted to see what he could grow in that time, and I had been mentioning he should try it. He might do it again next year, but keep it better trimmed. ;-)

I don't think MH would do very well here.  He recently confessed to me that he has been banned from the boards at MyFitnessPal - I asked why and he said "it's run by stupid people." I figure he probably ticked someone off by being super condescending.

MH has frequently expressed interest in coming here, but it would go down like that.  He would come, be condescending and assy, and he'd get run out of town.  Or he'd stick around and continue on.  He's also way Libertarian, which doesn't bother me, but I think when discussing politics, you have to be able to see both sides of an issue for it to be productive.  He's a very black/white person - there aren't many shades of gray so my guess is he'd be going down in a blaze of glory every day from both is viewpoints and 'tude.

I'm glad I'm not the only one on this boat.  I tend to have the same discussions at home that we (well y'all.  while I lurk. Crying) have here and 9 times out of 10 at some point in the discussion I stop and stare at him and just think how badly he'd get flamed here.  It'd be ugly.

He's well trained at this point though.  everybody who has met him in person (which is a surprisingly long list) can attest that he just sits quietly and nods and eats his food when spending time with my friends.  Big Smile

The bushier the better, IMO.  But I still like it neat.  I just like it long and full.

Poor DH hates having a full, long beard, but he does it for me every winter.  That's why I have to laugh on here when people criticize me for saying I grow my hair out for DH or shave my armpits for him.  He suffers for my wishes too.  lol

And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this Rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.
  • I share exchanges from this board with DH frequently, and I actually cringe at his suggestions for my responses.  The man would obviously need to lurk a bit to avoid absolute online castration.
