I'm licking my lottery wounds. I really wanted to win at least a few thousand dollars considering I was in a work pool with 90 tickets! I had some really good plans for that money!
Since it's icky outside, I'll be doing all my weekend work today - cleaning, laundry etc. I need to start getting ready for Easter too which is my Dad's birthday so we are having that side of the family over for dinner. I also want to try to find some new curtains for the dining room and kitchen.
Tomorrow DH wants to try out his new camera and wants to head to Asbury Park to take some pictures of the beach and the historic Convention Hall. We'll probably get a nice early dinner while we are there.
Enjoy your weekend!!!
Re: Good Morning! What are your weekend plans?
We are both working today: H is doing taxes and I am preparing a powerpoint for my Arbor Day speaking engagement.
Tomorrow we'll work on the base cabinet for the mudroom. We'll take final measurements and draw up plans for outfitting the cabinet with the massive, 6' cast iron farmhouse sink.
We ripped out our sunroom ceiling last night and right now we're wiring up the lights and speakers. We might rip out the carpet afterwards. I'm also refinishing a console table for our living room and trying out a new 'weathered wood' technique.
Tonight we'll probably meet up with friends, and tomorrow it's back to the table refinish and hopefully hang a big map.
I have to meet up with MIL to buy her car to give to my SIL today.... ::sigh:: I wish they were a little more independent but whatever.
Then I'm coming back home and sitting on my butt, cleaning a little and watching a whole lot of syfy movies (extreme weather marathon today yeayyy!) Tonight H is OOT at a nerd con lol (horror con) sooo.... I don't really know what's up. I don't know if I feel like going out tonight.... we'll see!
Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be nicer so I'll work a little outside and if the wind is low spray paint and stain a few things (brass basement stairwell light fixture, upstairs handrails, DIY shelves for the DR, etc etc etc), go to yoga and do some grocery shopping
Planned Executed
We are taking the dog we have been 'sitting' for our breeder home some time this weekend. He's been such a good boy these past two weeks, but I can tell that he is ready to go home.
I think we might go today, but whether we go today or tomorrow, we plan to stop to see grandson on the way home, since the breeder lives farther away in sort of the same direction.
Other than that we are just playing it by ear.
Well, it's a pretty icky day here and not going to get very warm. I'm getting together with my dad and one of my co-workers around 2 today because we're planning a Holocaust unit at my school, which starts on Monday and we need to get some things hashed out. It's pretty cool to work with my dad; he taught middle school for nearly 20 years before teaching at the university level, and it's cool to plan a unit to teach with him at my school.
After we get everything hashed out, I'm going to get stuff to hopefully make an upholstered headboard. I'm nervous about this, but hopefully it'll turn out well. Then the DH and I will grab some dinner. Tomorrow's just a day of relaxing.
In my continuing effort to purge and organize I am tackling the bathroom cabinet and the front closet, which I don't think has been mopped since we moved in, shameful I know.
Looking forward to getting rid of more junk!
I'm also planning on scrubbing the patio and setting up our furniture, and planting a hydrangea bush.
