  • Grilled or roasted with salt, pepper and olive oil.  A squeeze of lemon juice after it's cooked if I'm feeling fancy.

  • Oven roasted with olive oil, sea or kosher salt and garlic. So simple and so delicious!
  • Thanks!  I usually put it on the stove top with a little water and want to try something different.  Thanks again!
  • Roasting is so easy, they can go in at whatever temp everything else is cooking at.

  • Roast a bunch of trimmed asparagus at 375 for 10-15 minutes until tender and bright green.  Before roasting I drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.  Sometimes I'll sprinkle Parmesan cheese or a little balsamic vinegar.  Tastes delicious and so, so easy!

  • I like preparing it on the skillet and sprinkling with blue cheese.  See my blog .

I found the recipe in a Cooking Light cookbook so I know it's healthy - it's just a nice alternative to roasting it.

  • Rubbed with olive oil, seasoned with salt & pepper, Grilled, and finished off with a squeeze of lemon.

  • Grilled, steamed or roasted.
  • cut off the woody ends, Toss with Olive Oil, put into a 400 oven until the tips turn brown.  Thin ones will be done faster than thicker ones.
  • My favorite with asparagus is UNcooked. I clean it, put it whole in a big ziplock, add mushrooms and a bottle of Italian dressing, zip it up and refrig for a few days, turning occasionally. It is really good. It just use kroger or aldi fat free Italian.
  • I lightly brush mine in olive oil, salt & pepper them, then wrap bundles of them in prosciutto. Then I grill them. Delicious!

    I'll try this!

  • I saute in a frying pan - break off woody ends, cut into about 1-inch pieces, put a little olive oil in pan (i use a nonstick one), sprinkle with a little salt, pepper and garlic.  Only takes a few minutes.

This is a great way to do it when you're short on time or don't want to turn on the oven.

When it's all said and done, what matters most is your relationships with other people; without good friends and family, what's the point?
