Thank you gift for out of town guests?

My BFF has been hosting a foreign exchange student from Spain (15yo), and her family is coming into town to visit her. Her mother is supposedly an exceptional cook, and she will be making a large Spanish feast for my BFF and her family, as well as DH and I.

We would like to bring her something as a way to say thank you, but really do not know what they like, etc. Her parents and her younger sister (12yo) will be coming.

Any ideas?

  • How about something from a local company - like chocolates, cheese, charcuterie?
