ETA: UPDATE- He's home now!!!
He is still at the hospital being observed. They were able to cast his broken arm, and now they want him to move around so that they can make sure that his arm pain wasn't masking any other injuries that they might have missed. He has been cleared for food, so he's pretty happy about that, but he misses his little brother and wants to go home to see him.
My daughter says that he is actually doing quite well and has everyone at the hospital charmed. He has always had a way with women, and the little girls at school love him, but my daughter said that it is pretty funny to see him work his magic on grown women.lol
Oh, and it turns out that he couldn't see his school from the window, hence the reason he leaned on the screen for a better look. He also says that he "will never do that again, that was horrible!"
My daughter's father in law put a child lock on the window right after everyone left for the hospital...too late for oldest grandson, but his little brother will be safe.
We are really counting our blessings today, that's for sure.
My daughter and her family live with her inlaws. When her inlaws built the addition for them to live upstairs while they save for a downpayment, they considered putting concrete on that side of the house, but for some reason left it as dirt. We've all had rain recently, so fil moved the slew of kid toys that are usually there, because they were getting muddy. Because of the recent rains, the ground there was spongey, instead of it's usual rock hard status when it is dry. Short of putting a mattress there, it was the best situation possible.
Again, thanks for the T&P and good thoughts.
Re: Grandson update! Obviously ndr ;)
TTC since Feb 2012
Diagnosed with PCOS and anovulation
2 round clomid 1 round femara--no response
1st round injectables/IUI 1/31---BFP!
This is strange to me (maybe it's a guy thing?) but my dad's very favorite childhood memories are from the year that he was in an arm cast (and then got out of it and promptly broke his other arm...)
I hope your grandson finds wearing the cast to be an adventure like my weirdo dad did!
