Apple novice here: Do I need antivirus program for iTouch?

I feel sort of silly asking this, but since I can connect to the internet through my iTouch, I'm wondering if I need some sort of antivirus/spyware/etc. program for it.  Do I?  If so, what?

  • your device need an antivirus program as this saves your device from many errors which are of any type such as hardware and software.

I have had my macbookpro for 4 years now without an anti-virus software on it, and I have NEVER had a problem.

So unless you're downloading questionable things onto your iTouch, I think it's pretty safe to say you don't need an anti-virus.

  • I've had Macs for years and have never put antivirus progams on any of them ever. I've had an iTouch and now an iPhone and same thing...no antivirus but never any viruses either. ever.

unless you're downloading shady stuff, you're safe.
