Cloudy Sunday afternoon activities

What are you all up to this afternoon?
I'm bored and procrastinating so I think I'm going to make beer bread and then marshmallow fudge. The house needs sweeping as well. I wanted to go out for a drive but it was nice yesterday so traffic will be bad with all the folks from Bilbao heading home. Sad

Re: Cloudy Sunday afternoon activities

  • It's a bright, sunny Sunday afternoon here, so DD and I went for a walk. Well, I went for a walk and DD slept in the stroller. Then I packed up the non-perishable kitchen stuff and am getting a few random things ready for the trip. Less than 2 weeks until we head to the States for 5 months!! :-)

  • We just got back from seeing the Haijj exhibit at the British Museum and then some shopping in Covent Garden, so DH could get some new shoes. I also had the most delightful raspberry souffle at the British Museum restaurant. It was a fabulous day so far, and great to spend the time with DH as we'll be spending the next week apart.

Sounds like we're having similar days. I'm supposed to be doing research but avoided it by baking bread too (trying foccacia for the first time)!  I would also try making the almond chocolate clusters I found a recipe for, but I'm still trying to stick to my lenten promise of giving up sweets (I've cheated multiple times already). Did most of my cleaning yesterday, but vacuumed just now.

  • For once, we're also having a cloudy, gray day here! It's now rained and is actually nice out. I might sit out side and have a glass of wine!

Today I went to work, then taught Zumba after that, and now I'm hanging in my PJ's...waiting for DH to get home. Just planning to relax the rest of the evening!

  • It is sunny and cloudy here in Mexico. We just go back from the mercado. we go every sunday to purchase our food for the week. Its much cheaper than buying in the week. Now we are snacking on a sweet bread/cake from a panderia. Then we are going to deep clean bedrooms and get rid of those clothes that are too small for donation.

  • Now I've got a grumpy DH so it's going to be creole-style shrimp po'boys for dinner. (Adapted to Spain). Don't like spices, big guy? Don't be a grump Wink
  • Oh. I thought you were looking for suggestions, and I was going to come on here and suggest some bowm chicka wowm wowm...

    Giggity.
