Vinyl wall decals and textured walls
Has anyone tried to put one of these on a textured wall? I wanted to do a tree in my nursery, but the directions said it wasn't for textured walls. Just wanted to see if anyone has had success or if I should go another route. Thanks!
FWIW, this is the one I am looking at: Giant Polka Dots Tree Wall Decal
Re: Vinyl wall decals and textured walls
I would call mine an orange peel texture. I've never been to a house without textured walls, so I keep thinking that those things have to work!
Maybe, but I'm not so gifted in the artistic department.
Part of it also depends on whether or not the paint is flat, eggshell or semi-gloss. The glossier the paint, the harder it is to get the decals to stick sometimes.
But with texture, its not that it wont go on, you'll just have to work hard at using the little squeegee thingy to press into all the nooks and crannies. You should be fine.
