Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Gumpaste Quasi-Success
I gave gumpaste a shot for my son's first birthday today. I don't think I'll use the Wilton mix again -- I couldn't get it the right consistency, so it never set properly. But when all was said and done, my Doozer looked decent, the mushrooms were adorable, and the radishes almost looked like radishes, so I was pleased.
When it's all said and done, what matters most is your relationships with other people; without good friends and family, what's the point?

Thank you! I took the leftovers, which had the Doozer on it, to work today. One of my coworkers took one look at it and asked, "Is that a DOOZER?! That's great!" Totally made up for my dad asking me which Ninja Turtle he was. :P
It was a lot of fun to work on. I'm not sure what I'll make a cake for next, but now I definitely have some new ideas for decorating it.
