Does anyone know WHY they left the show? Especially since they brought Quinn and Clay on. I never understood. There were rumors and vague comments. Hilarie Burton did a video about how the show wanted to move in a different creative way but then there would be comments to the contrary. And did it bother anyone else that it seemed like they were purposely making Luke and Peyton look like bad guys? With side comments and such. Brooke talking about Haylie being there for her and not Peyton, Haylie saying he never calls....that is not how their relationship was. If they are going to talk about them, why make it negative? I say again I think its crap Hilarie didn't come back and that Lucas didn't come when Nathan was rescued.

Story wise they moved away to take care of their baby and Haley wrote Lucas letters but that was it. Then, for the finale we all knew he'd only show up once from reading the season spoilers. Hilary Burton was never coming back and that was very obvious. I didn't see the negative comments from Brook. They were never all best friends at the same time really. 

 

And, Lucas coming back was pointless. They shouldn't have done the weird airport scene but fans wanted it. So, you got to see him but you are still upset? Lol.

The negative comments were throughout the seasons after they left. Why would they leave to take care of their daughter when everyone is right there in Tree Hill? But as far as the actors go, does anyone know anything about that?

I think I read that they were just over it and thought they should expand to new roles.

I believe they both made some comments about wanting to move on.

Also Hilarie was married to a producer or writer or something and I believe they divorced and there was bad blood.

I saw Hilary Burton on White Collar, but I hadn't seen Chad. Even with the his stuff listed, his success isn't the same.

Makes me sad they left and couldn't make time to come back to the show. (besides his little piece that was just silly)

I feel bad saying this but this isn't new news at all. OTH fans knew this a long time ago. Are you just now finding out that they'll never be back more permanently?

I did a Hollywood walking tour in Wilmington when I went and we were told they left because of money reasons. Both Chad and Hilarie wanted more money and producers didn't want to pay them more. And it's my understand CMM wanted to come back for season 8 and producers said, "no thank you".

The crazy thing about Hilarie not coming back is that she lives right there in Wilmington! Walk down the street and film a scene already! hahaha

I can't believe it's really almost over.

Oh I know its old news. I'm just getting around to venting about it. I just got a chance to catch up on a couple episodes and I was disappointed in Lukea come back. I knew it was only going to be one...they should have made it count.

i think TWLOHA is filiming a movie about how the organization came about and CMM is slated as one of the main characters. that was the last i heard though and that was probably a year or so ago.

Oh I hadn't heard they were filming a movie about the organization! Interesting. I'll have to ask around to see if its still in the works.

 I didn't know this! Excellent point in this case. lol

I am totally bummed that these two didn't come back for the really pivotal moments that they've missed (Brooke's weddings, the new babies, etc.) as well as the final season. It is beyond disappointing. CMM's airport scene doesn't count because it was so dumb that I blocked it out.
