Asking agent to pull comps before seeing a house?

A house went on the market this weekend that is in a neighborhood that we love.  We know the general layout of the houses and it has everything we want expect central air (which was a nice to have for us).  Would it hurt to have her pull comps before we even looked at it?  I already emailed her this morning asking that she set up an appointment.

Does your market move so quickly that you can't take the 30 minutes after a showing for her to pull comps?  Like you'd have to put in an offer on the spot or it'll be sold out from under you?  Otherwise, I'd wait.  I've seen so many houses that I thought I'd love online, only for them to not feel quite right when I got there.  No sense in making her do needless work.

Depending on the area and how the houses are priced things can go very quickly.  On of my son's friend's lives in the area so I have been down there a bunch of times and most of the houses seem to be set up the same (the development is about 15 years old).  I guess we'll wait.  We had been scheduled to look at a place over the weekend that went on the market on the 25th and it was cancelled because they accepted an offer on Thursday.

This!  Pictures can do a great job of hiding a crappy layout, or making rooms appear larger than they are, etc.

I agree with this. If you think the house is going to be sold out from under you, then in all likelihood it's going for close to asking and you could make an offer without comps. Otherwise, see it first and make sure the listing agent didn't just use a really great camera.
