I had a date with a new guy. And it was awesome!!! I guess it was bound to happen eventually... and we are going out again later this week. Yay!!

Just so I know, roughly how many more bad dates am I going to have to go on before I find a good one? This dating thing is getting exhausting. I think I'm taking a break from it for a while.
I would say my bad/average to good date ratio now is about 12:1
Take a break if you need to but don't give up! It's funny, I wasn't really excited to meet him either so you never know. Most of the time if I am really looking forward to meeting them it's kind of "meh". This happened with my last bf too, I wasn't really all that excited before our date. You never know

I'm not giving up completely yet. My match membership expired this weekend and I deleted my OKC profile. But, I just started talking with two guys from match right before my membership expired so who knows. I'm also going to a new gym tonight to take some classes and they're super tough classes so there should be plenty of prospects there
You are not the only one who feels like this Turtle...I dont post much about my online dates but there have been a few and NO decent prospects. Funny story...I was bored so signed up for POF. Well my searches were bringing up nothing...just people who were married or just looking for friends. I get this message from a 49 yr old woman saying maybe my status is wrong. Sure enough I went to edit profile and my status was set to "married"...hahaha. Must have been flying thru the questions. Changed it and tada!!!! Who knows how long it would have taken me to figure that one out.

I agree 12 bad dates to 1 good date seems to be about right.
And it does happen when you least expect it. I was DONE dating for a bit. Figured I'd take a break for the holidays, and then start up again after the new year. Well I had already started talking to my now bf, and we had already agreed to meet for lunch when I decided I needed a break so I figured one more lunch couldn't hurt. That was Oct. 30, 2010. Glad I didn't cancel that lunch
