Convince me I don't need this bag

My name is Jessica, and I'm addicted to Rebecca Minkoff.

I'm in love with this new Perf Weave MAC. I have a regular MAC in butter yellow and a Mini MAC in fuschia (in addition to various other RM styles). I do not need this bag, but I want it. Badly. I have enough store credit to cover the cost, so that's not really the issue. However, I could obviously spend that money in other ways that would arguably be more practical.

Someone tell me I don't need it.

I'm no help because I think its so cute and you could justify it by saying its your gift for having your baby coming soon - but do you think you would rather something that is a completely different style or maybe you'd want to save the money for after baby clothes.  Its hard to convince you out of it though because its cute

Ha, you're barking up the wrong tree.  Obviously you don't NEED it, which you've already pointed out, but if you think you'll get a lot of use out of it then go for it.  If not, and you think you have other bags that already serve the purpose this one would, then pass and wait for something else to come along.  It's a very cute bag though.

This is what I know I should do. But it's easier said than done

I love it, but you might want something like the MAB mini after the baby comes.  That's what I carry right now and it's great for me with the kids.

I just bought a new RM handbag and it was stupid.  I'm having twins this week.  I know from having my daughter that for a while after having her, my diaper bag was pretty much my purse.  I kept a clutch inside of there for when I was on solo trips, so I could just grab it out - but I never had a full handbag of stuff in addition to the diaper bag.  I SHOULD have just bought a new clutch and am now kicking myself!

I'm expecting baby #3 in two months and just bought the RM Vanity crossbody on sale.  I love it and can't bring myself to return it, even though it's totally impractical with a new baby.  Sigh.

I also think it's pretty ugly. It reminds me of one of those "Authentic Native American" purses you get at a tourist stand in New Mexico.
