Can I freeze a creamy salad dressing?
I got a gigantic gallon of honey ginger salad dressing that is slightly creamy (must have mayo or heavy cream in it or something). As delicious as it is, there is no way I can finish this in a year! LOL
1) how long do you think it will last in the fridge? a month? (1 gallon)
2) can i freeze it in small portions? will it separate?
Re: Can I freeze a creamy salad dressing?
If it's not homemade it might contain an emulsifier which might prevent separating when defrosted.
I really don't know the for sure answer, so I'd freeze a tiny bit and see what happens.
I wouldn't try to freeze a creamy homemade vinaigrette (made with egg and oil).
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
