Intro

Hi! I am new to the board. I looked through the past couple of pages and didn't see any intro posts, but I thought I'd introduce myself anyway.

I love to travel and am a travel planner, so I spend most of my time researching new places to go and then going there and investigating them. (It's really tough.) I plan on lurking a bit more, but I love to talk about new destinations and learn about ones I haven't been to yet, so I thought this would be a good place to be :)

  • Hi there.  Where are you off to next?

  • DH and I will be going to The Royal in Playa Del Carmen next month, and then I have a work trip to Costa Rica in August and Puerto Vallarta in October. Next year I have Italy and hopefully Thailand in the lineup :)

  • Hello and welcome! Thailand sounds amazing. My husband and I are leaving for a Baltic cruise in 39 (!) days. So excited :)

  • Hi, there!

My husband and I just got back from a week in Aruba (a condo - La Quinta on Eagle Beach).  He is English and I met him when I was working in London - we did a lot of European travel from there.  We are not sure if we'll visit this summer because of the olympics price inflations on everything.

I travel to Rome and Hamburg every year for work (in the fall).

My parents are avid travellers in their retirement and just got back from New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii.  They are doing a Russian river cruise next.

Our last "big" trip was to Spain (Madrid, Burgos, Avila) and our next "big" trip may be an Alaskan cruise (which would be our first cruise).

The most exotic place I've ever been is India (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur) for work.

My favorite domestic destination is Charleston, SC (and Kiawah Island).

    Spain is my favorite country.

I'm very interested in Turkey and Croatia right now.

Wow! I'm so jealous! I've got some catching up to do ;)

Alaskan cruises are amazing- have a blast!

My mom actually just got back from Turkey and she loved it- she has gorgeous pictures. Definitely a spot worth seeing!
