What crust for key lime cheesecake?

I want to do something other than the typical graham cracker crust.  Do you think pecans or almonds would go better with key lime, probably as a shortbread?   Or, any other suggestions?

Re: What crust for key lime cheesecake?

  • Yum. What a good idea. How about if you used those shortbread cookies, I think Keebler pecan sandies, instead of the graham crackers.
  • I used to work in a restaurant that served an award-winning key lime cheesecake. The crust was a graham cracker/macadamia nut mixture.
