Prayers for my grandpa and a question about trophies
1) My 96-year-old grandpa is getting his lung drained today from fluid-build-up. Doctors are super impressed with his health except for this. He lives alone with his dog, exercises daily, he is adorably cute and a great role model. Sooooo T&Ps for his appointment today. I really want him to make it for my sister's wedding in October 2013.
2) My family is really into sports. My siblings and I accumulated a bunch of trophies growing up and was wondering if anyone knew of organizations that you can donate trophies to? Some (most) of the trophies you can pull off your name/date so it's just a plain trophy.
Re: Prayers for my grandpa and a question about trophies
Sending good ju-ju your way.
I have no idea about the trophies. I'd rec calling big brothers big sisters. I'm not sure if it would work, but if it did I'm sure they would be really stoked.
Prayers for your grandpa, I'll be thinking about him and hoping that all goes smoothly. Good luck and good health vibes!!
Thrift shops around here take anything including old trophies, and Goodwill, Little League, Boys and Girls clubs usually will accept them because they reuse them, so you may want to check your local chapters and shoot an email to see if they want them. Other than that, I like to use Freecycle.com to get rid of stuff easily, as people will come by and just pick it up from the curb and you don't even have to go anywhere!

Sending good vibes for your grandfather.
I'm praying for your grandpa.
The almighty internet says Goodwill and Salvation Army are the best places to donate old trophies.
Good health vibes to your grandpa, I hope everything goes well!!
As for the trophies, I agree with PP's, either boys and girls clubs or Goodwill. Good luck!
My dad does not want to donate them to Goodwill/Salvation Army but I've called a few local Boys & Girls Club chapters and they won't accept them (one said they are closing soon, and another said they have too many already). Special Olympics won't accept them either. Oh well... I'll keep looking!
