ingrowns

I get horrible horrible ingrowns on my bikini line with any kind of hair removal system. Waxing, shaving, Nair, it all does it.  As if swimsuit season didn't give me enough to dread, I have horrible ingrown scars to add to it.

I was using finipil cream, which worked okay, but not great.  I've tried Tend Skin too.  I exfoliate with a hard sea sponge often.  Any tips, tricks, creams?

Re: ingrowns

  • Ugh, I wish I knew because I have the same problem.  I started getting laser hair removal because of this issue, but I've only had one session done.  They said that because my hair isn't very dark, that the results might not be very good.
  • The last time I had a wax, the woman said another customer swears by taking baths with epsom salt.
  • I can see why a warm salt bath would improve the skin condition. also, Exfoliation is the #1 way to prevent ingrowns. The Dermadoctor scrub is a miracle worker!!

  • Bliss makes ingrown eliminating pads that get good reviews.
  • Products with salicilic (sp?) acid would work, if the are near the skin, my ingrowns are very deep in the skin, and they never come out.

  • I use Bikini Zone cream, and it helps.

I get the deep ones too. It sucks.
