Facebook WTMF.

H and I both have cousins that are going to give birth today.

His cousin, the only thing I know via Facebook is that she's at the hospital.

My cousin....she's 80% effaced and almost "dialated" to 4, via her SIL's constant status updates.

I don't feel like I needed to know about the state of my cousin's ute. I also feel like I'd be punching my SIL in the face if I found out she was giving the play-by-play of my labor on Facebook.

Re: Facebook WTMF.

  • The only thing that p!ssed me off while in labor was getting home from the hospital and seeing family discussing how dilated and effaced I was at any given moment on FB.

I made an apology at the end of the thread(s).

Edit: The only people H updated via text during labor (and only three times) was my brother (so he could update my parents), my BFF, my BF, and his sister (so she could update his parents).

My brother and my BF were the guilty party on the FB posts.

  • Haha yeah my boss told us during a meeting how far dilated his daughter was when he last checked his BBM.

    I'm like "hooray for her?"

  • Yea..... when I was in labor the only two updates on FB regarding that were "It's baby day" and "DS is here. Stats are xxxxxx"

The only people that knew dilation was (not at the time)XH since he was there. Our families knew when it was close. Apparently they were there waiting, which I didnt know until DS was born.
