PIP expensive homes near you
Re: PIP expensive homes near you
I'm surprised are tiled roofs like that common in homes of that age in your area? The gardens are beautiful!
LOL the castle theme gone wrong. Plus nothing in this room even remotely matches.
Country club indeed but this house is jaw dropping!
I want a covered porch like that too! Such a beautiful home all around!
drool. i want.

CRAFTY ME
my read shelf:
I read somewhere that the average apartment in NYC goes for over $1million. THE AVERAGE.
So...for a million dollars in NY you can get this studio apartment with a lofted area for sleeping:
I can't even imagine what the most expensive apartment would cost.

This one is about a mile away from me and on the same street as BonJovi:
$15.4mil
I am totally unimpressed by the kitchen:
This I do like:
And this is my dream house. Same neighborhood as me but on the river and WAY bigger than what we have. This is only $2.2M:
Notice the TWO islands!!!
I usually lurk- but drove past this house on the way to work for a couple months before we moved:
yes- your very own castle!! 5 BR, 7 Baths, 4 horse garage (that's what the article said). Only $4.95 million. And the kicker?? It's a corner lot, on a busy street, and the entire left side of the house extremely close to the neighbors house (esp. given the size of the house!)

I tried to find something a little more "updated" but my town is...well...stuck in the wrough iron/dark wood stage of decorating. And these were too "great" not to share.
House 1: 5 bed 5 bath $1.4 million Built in 1993
Love the angel mural over the front door....
The outside can almost make up for the inside...
House 2: 7 Bed 5 Bath $1.1 million Built in 2008 (These pics are horrible) But...wait till you see the stair case!
We have the same dream! Wow
Love this house! And look it has a showerpipe! Oddly no glass enclosure though...I wonder if it just wasn't installed when this picture was taken or if that is a wet floor.
one of my favorite houses in my neighborhood just went up for sale, $1.8M:
This is a few miles away in Princeton, NJ (8 minute drive). There are so many gorgeous houses there. 5 bed, 6 bath on 1.51 acres close to the boro. $4.75M and a lovely $70,949 per year in property taxes.
Wait, this one is better and cheaper! $2.97M, 4 bed 7 bath on 4.9 acres.
My guess is that there is a lip at the bottom of the shower that keeps it from running onto floor and that it's so freaking huge that unless you pointed the shower head at the entrance, there's no chance of the floor getting wet!!!
I wonder where they have the shampoo and soap!!!
About a mile from me. I drive by it every day on my way to work. $1.99 million. 5 BR 5 BA 5900 sq.' 1.69 acres. I think it started out over $4 mil., so it's a bargain now!
edit: ipad fail! Bummer! Too sleepy to figure it out now. :-(
OMG that house is crazy! The interior dual staircase with the balcony all around looks like it just came out of a movie set.
This 1.25 million, 4 bed, 4.5 bath, 4886 sq ft home is on "Poorman's Creek Drive" LOL.
Oh my GOD, this one is a doozy--it literally made me laugh out loud. 6.8 million, 3 bed, 5 bath, 6316 sq feet.
"Enchanting details include Manzanita & Madrone trees within the entry & dining room."
I usually lurk but have been drooling over the spa in this one for weeks. Rest is sort of hit or miss. $4.3M, 7bed/12bath on just over 3 acres.

I need a cigarette after reading through this thread.
Finally:) - you and I could live happily ever after together with the same real estate taste
Let me try this again......about a mile from me. I drive by it every day on my way to work. $1.99 million. 5 BR 5 BA 5900 sq.' 1.69 acres. I think it started out over $4 mil., so it's a bargain now!
I live in a pretty MCOL area (nice Atlanta suburb with some of the best schools in the area), and there are only 5 homes in my zip code over $1mil. This one is $1.3 million and I am surprised at how dated it is. Plus, the outside looks just like the $600,000 McMansions that popped up all over in this area back in the early 2000's, except it's just bigger. It has 6,000 square feet and is on a lake (that is a small manmade one and looks like nothing special)
Okay, so this was the most expensive house I could find in the greater Seattle area. Please tell me why, if you have this much money to spend, you think that open shelving is a good idea in your kitchen? $26.88 million, 3 bedrooms, 4.75 baths, 14,660 sq.', just under 3 acres.
Sounds like a plan! Maybe we could get a few more in on our deal and actually afford that house!
