Okay, I know there's at least a few of us who watch this, so:
What did you think of last night's live show? Who'd you vote for and who do you think will go home tonight?
Re: The Voice
I'm kind of partial to Lindsay Pavao, Charlotte Sometimes, Chris Mann & Jermaine Paul.
I didn't love RaeLynn, Naia Kete or Sera Hill's performances. And I think Ashley De la Rosa is pretty forgettable.
Meeee! I love this show.
From last night, my favorites were Jermaine, Erin, Moses, Sera, and Jesse.
Safe this week I think are also Naia, Jordis, Chris Mann, Lindsey, and Ashley.
I did not like Raelynn's or Charlotte Sometimes' performances. I really, really don't like Raelynn's voice. I find it veeeery grating and I think she's still young and she needs a LOT of training still. I didn't like Charlotte's arrangement of the song she did - the original is punky and upbeat and she just brought it way down. And she DID have flat spots, regardless of what Blake said. I also just don't like her attitude, but that has nothing to do with why I didn't like her performance.
I'm so glad the real shows are on now. I liked most of the people that performed last night. The only one that sticks out now and sucking asss was the young country chick who did the Maroon 5 song. Did NOT love that.
Adam looked hotter than like ever last night. And for the first time all season, Christina looked relatively normal and her bewbs weren't hanging out. That's what I remember most.
I was surprised that Adam claimed to like Raelynn's version of HIS song. I kinda think he was just being nice, though.
Thank you BabyJesus that Christina's bewbies weren't hanging out for once and that she's no longer wearing that stupid hat.
I thought Erin was actually the all around best performance, most notably her voice..a.mazing.
I also really liked Lindsey, even though she looked really uncomfortable on stage. But, something about her voice is just cool to me.
I think Jesse did okay, but was expecting more I think, so was kind of disappointed.
I hated RaeLynn's performance. She looked like she was throwing a tantrum (kind of the same with Ashley) with a country twang.
Chris makes me feel like I'm listening to my grandma's old Christmas album, from like, 1962. You know, Pat Boone, Harry Belafonte, Bobby Darin. It's very nice but just, sounds so dated and...boring, to me.
So, going home - I'm a little confused as to how many are getting sent home...was it 3 per team? For Christina, I think it's going to be Sera, Chris, and Ashley. For Blake, I think it's going to be Naia, Charlotte, and Jermaine.
I totally think he was just being nice. There's no way he thought that was a great performance, it was crazy.
Totally agree, on both accounts. And CeeLo,with the hair...I couldn't take anything he said seriously. Also, am I the only one who thinks CeeLo actually looks better with the big sunglasses on than when he has them off?
agreed.
Nope, totally agree with that too. His eyes are really strange...
And, much like my realtor Mr Tiny Hands, I find Cee-Lo's baby hands really distracting.
I will have to catch up on Thursday as Joel subtlely hinted he rather not watch tonight when they announced last night that Gym Class Heroes would be on it tonight. It's still just sureal for me and makes me happy for my friend.
As for the contestants, I'm terrible with names. I love the chick who's Dad sadly died, she amazing. I really like jesse campbell but last night he was boring imo. The girl that sang the Alanis Morrisette (sp way off) made me mad because I
that song and I didn't think she did it justice. That's all I remember.

The first several shows are the blind auditions where allfour judges do not get to see the person that is singing so they are solely judging then based on their voice. Then if any of the judges turn around that means the person is selewcted. If one judge turns around then the singing is on that judge's team if more than one judge turns around the singer gets to choose which judge he/she wants to work with.
The next roun of shows are the battles where two singer from the same team sing together and their judge ha to choose which one to keep to narrow down their team memebers.
the next round is the live shows where the remaining singers perform by themselves but often backed up with dancers and/or a band and then Anerican start voting on who to keep.
If I'm missing sonething please fill it in!
I keep trying to get into it and I always miss episodes because I'm in bed before it starts lol
Also it's better than Idol because the judges are better.
HELLO.
nom. And he looked especially hot Monday night, I must say. I like the buzzed hair. and the tight black t-shirt. *swoon*
I've never really been a watcher of these kind of shows. In fact, a friend of mine once made me watch AI with her and it was like torture. For whatever reason, I happened upon this season's premiere and just really liked it. I liked the fact that judges had to base their picks on the sound/talent of their voice alone, which also means that the people auditioning actually had to be good to begin with. I think all the auditioners had to be invited, so the talent pool is so much higher and the coaches actually seem to be trying to improve and train each of their team members instead of just being nasty or sarcastic. There was no age limit, so some of the people who are still on are in their 50s. I'm a little surprised I'm still watching honestly, because I'm not really in to public voting, but I feel kind of invested now, like I have to finish the season. And, after seeing who the public voted for last night, a little of my faith in the general public has been restored, so...thats something
They voted Raelynn. I still have no faith in humanity.
Truth.
OMG, I totally forgot about that. Damnit, now I have retract my faith.
