NDR: Needing some nestie power of prayer {please}.
My mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm accompanying her to the surgeon tomorrow. I think my family (me too) are in shock as we really thought pathology would come back negative. She's always been young, healthy, active and there's no family history. Not all guarantees. We just don't exactly where she stands in her diagnosis yet. Prayers for the best news possible and my mom staying positive once this all sinks in are really, really appreciated. Thanks in advance for letting me share.
Re: NDR: Needing some nestie power of prayer {please}.
I'm so sorry to hear that but am sending thoughts that it is Stage 1 and can be removed/cured quickly and she can be back to health in no time!
Sending positive thoughts your way. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a little less than two years ago, at age 49, no family history. I'm happy to say she kicked cancer's butt, and found a whole network of support along the way. It's a long, hard road but staying positive (as hard as it seems) will go a long way, for you and your mom. Good luck to you both.

We went through this with my mom about 15 (?) years ago. She is alive and kicking at 72! And when she got her reconstruction, she called me to say she was so excited, she wouldn't need a bra till she was 80! So there is a bright side...esp if you keep your sense of humor.
Hugs to you and mom. I'll add y'all to my prayer list.
I am so sorry to hear this. I know how scary this is - my mom was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2004. Almost 8 years later and she's doing great. I'll definitely keep yor family in my thoughts, and keep us updated.
My heart sinks every time I hear of someone else getting diagnosed. I was diagnosed at age 45 sixteen months ago. It has been a long journey but I feel great now! I am training for a half marathon right now. Take it one step at a time. I am saying prayers for your mom (now my BC sister!) and hoping it was caught early and can be treated immediately. I have been blogging my journey. Here's the link if it helps. Hugs!

For those of you reading this....over 80% of women that get diagnosed with breast cancer have NO family history. One in eight women WILL get breast cancer. Mammograms give false security....I had a mammo a few months before I found my lump and my lump was a SLOW growing tumor so it was there when I had the mammo but it was not seen. DO YOUR MONTHLY SELF BREAST EXAMS! If you have dense breasts, push for ultrasounds. ANYONE can get this. I was healthy - aerobics instructor, ate well, did not smoke and NO family history and I got it. I am no different than all of you. I never thought I would get this..... (OK I am putting my soapbox away now...)
Oh Roeshel, I am so sorry to hear this! I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers! I am also praying that its in very early stage and can be treated soon.
Your mom, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I'll send any good luck my grandson didn't use up your mother's way too.
Oh sweetie - you have my prayers - seems all I do is pray these days. PLEASE let us know how it goes after you go to the doctor with her.
Sending up nestie prayers for you all.

Hugs! Thoughts and prayers headed your way for sure.
If you want to talk about it, PM me. My MIL was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago and it hit us really hard. Like your Mom she was super healthy, fit and all around doing great. Never saw it coming.
The good news is while it's hard, breast cancer is pretty treatable for the most part. My MIL is back to being her fabulous self...like you'd never know she had cancer.
Thinking about you during this time.
